Security at any price is far more destructive than living with some risk in a post-Cold War world. The 180+ Raptors are more than sufficient to assure air superiority. Nevertheless a few nimrods think that total air supremacy is possible. It's a myth. "Security at any price" is DESTRUCTIVE! With record high budget deficits additional F22 weapons system procurement borders on criminal.

A secret program to eliminate terrorists??? WHO CARES! If they had done their job they would have been hailed as heroes. Now it's just another reason to eliminate a failed money pit that continues to damage the underlying values of the United States: The Bay of Pigs Invasion, 9/11 intel failure, Iraq II weapons of mass destruction fiasco, waterboard torture, the rendition program, and worse yet Osama Bin Fucking Laden is still alive! The conservative commentators may have got this one right -- with the presidents poll numbers slipping the timing on this inconsequential announcement seems suspicious. So they lied ... no news there; the CIA wouldn't know the truth if it were tortured out.

The trip to Ghana was wholly unjustified as the majority of U.S. citizens have scaled back on vacations and travel. Then again royalty does it what wants. If you can afford a $6000 purse or something ridiculous like that spending an extra million is of little consequence.

G8 Summit in Italy -- OK, Russia makes sense now.

The president wanted to get a little work done before going on vacation. So little (oops, nothing) was accomplished. The attendees did, however, announce that they want to limit global warming to only two degrees Celsius. Seems a bit ironic -- these people can't even fix the economy (their forte) and they want to control the climate.

How many overseas trips will the president take before he realizes the economic trouble here in the United States still needs to be addressed? How many people have been indicted for originating so- called "liar loans"? Where is the regulation on credit default swaps? Who at the SEC failed to secure the public against B.Madoff after so many flags were raised? Who's minding the store?

SARA PALIN --- WHAT wasn't said ---

In her surprise announcement Mrs. Palin said she was resigning the governorship of Alaska to pursue a higher calling. Fine; and just WHAT might that be ... focusing on raising her five children? Preaching the gospel? Fund raising for others? The problem here is not what she said - it's what she did not say. Perhaps it was intentional to build drama and keep her name in the news. Perhaps she was bluffing. Perhaps... it really does not matter. For whatever reason she elected not to tell what that higher calling is. Till then I have only two words on the matter: Ross Perot.

IRAN -- strength in numbers ---

Massive popular protest in the streets of Tehran seems to confirm that current Iranian President M. Ahmadenijad (sp?) stole the election. Only a very few could confirm such a monumental assertion and the American press is not among those few. Furthermore despite the outcry in the United States President Obama is sending the proper message and keeping the U.S. out of Iranian internal affairs. However if this farce is allowed to stand dire consequences await the future.
